Power Question: How Will You End This Day?
That is a question I decided to ask myself each morning. It is becoming sort of a prayer.
This question prepares my mind. It brings me to my center. Considering this places me on the path best suited to my journey.
How?
When we become aware of anything we cannot turn back that awareness.
To discount this question of the soul, how will I end this day places me in tune with my inner rhythm.
Do I want to be happy today?
Do I want to drop that quarrel from yesterday?
Do I want to forgive so and so?
Do I want to aim towards my dream?
Do I want to walk on the path that leads me higher?
These are just a few questions that – how will I end this day, invokes.
I named my business before I knew what my business would be for just this purpose.
Journey du Jour Enterprises was born out of the concept that when I awaken each morning I really do not know ‘exactly’ what the day will bring. I have an idea that I will leave my home, go to work, met up with some people arrive back home, prepare dinner and go to sleep.
My plan for the day does not make the layout guaranteed.
In order to prepare for what life has in store for me I ask some questions right from the start. I also become still, quiet, so that I can hear the answers. I calm my mind throughout the day to help insure that I don’t miss an important sign even a miracle.
My journey du jour (journey of the day) will improve to the degree I aim high and walk in the direction I am called to walk in.
Life can be so simple. Try these steps.
1. Quiet your mind upon waking.
a. take a few deep breaths
b. quiet the over active thoughts
c. communicate with what you define as a greater power.
2. Gently ask yourself, how will I end this day?
a. be still, don’t manufacture a response
3. Be mindful and pay attention to where your journey of the day directs you.
a. Check in with you soul throughout the day.
b. Pay attention to signs and miracles
c. Look for people who will enter your life and help you on your journey
These simple practices will align you to your greater purpose.
Like most things if you do them daily for a month you have established a habit.
Wouldn’t this be a wonderful practice to incorporate into daily living?
